One day I was walking with my dog by my side
He led me safely down the street
I trust him, he's my guide
I had an important meeting
An interview for a job
Soon after I arrived I was greeted by a man named Bob
Although I couldn't see I sensed
When I walked in the room
Bob was totally speechless and said "Sorry I just assumed"
I finished his sentence for him
You assumed that I could see
Just because I'm blind it doesn't matter much to me
Then Bob said tell me something friend
What can you do for me
With confidence I said to him
I can do anything but see
I've had special training and I have been well trained
Jobs don't require working eyes, just a working brain
God have given me the strength to develop many skills
I can do computer work and write checks to pay my bills
I can answer questions, I can sweep the floor
I can cook a meal for you, I can do much more
Bob sat rather quietly and soon he said to me
This job belongs to you my friend, you have made me see
Many of us who're sighted don't often see things as we should
Sometimes it takes a blind man to open our eyes for good

As we come into your house Lord
We can feel your presence here
We have come to praise you
Please remove all our doubt and our fear
Lord teach us how to worship you
Teach us how to praise your name
Teach us how to love and adore you
You're forever and ever the same
Teach us how to trust you
In the good and bad of life
Give us strength to follow you
Even in the midst of strife
Help us to keep our eyes on you
And never let them stray
Remind us when we need you most
You're just a prayer away

Lord I can't hear the words people say
And you know I'm not deaf by my choice
But I know someday when you take us away
I'll hear the sound of your voice
You gave me eyes so I can see
And hands with which I can speak
You gave me a heart and that's the best part
You strengthen me when I am weak

You always know what I feel
Although I can't express it to everyone
My feelings are still very real

It seems like only yesterday
We joined our hearts as one
We were very much in love
Our lives had just begun
We promised to love each other
No matter what took place
We felt our love was strong enough
For whatever we might face
As years went by we drifted
And though we grew apart
There was one thing between us
Our children bound our hearts
Children are a gift from God
They make a house a home
And you're always there to welcome them
No matter how far they roam
Maybe we have both been wrong
But I think the time is here
To renew our love and release
All the bitterness and fears
Let's both try this one more time
I believe that God above
Chose us to be forever Always one in love

Before I went to sleep last night
My spirit stirred within
Everytime this happens
I get my notebook and a pen
I knew the Lord had something
Serious to say
So I just sat there quietly
And worshiped him and prayed
While I was in the spirit
I saw him on his knees
Before the Father's throne of grace
Praying Father would you please
Send a great revival
Before it is too late
I know how much it hurts you
To see the world filled with hate
I pray for all my children
To have a burning soul
To go out and gently lead the lost
Safely to your fold
Thank you that you hear me
Please grant my heart's desire
To send the Holy Spirit
With a Pentecostal fire

Lord I know you have a purpose
For everything you do
But sometimes I want to ask you why
Instead of trust in you
I know I should not question
Your way or your will
But when I do O Lord please teach me
How to listen and be still
When I face a heavy burden
Like the loss of someone dear
Please remind me once again you're always near
Although I may not feel it
I know you are there
Please wrap your arms around me
And keep me in your care
As it says in your word Lord
On that resurrection day
We will all be reunited
And you'll wipe our tears away
Until that time please give me
The strength to do your will
When you speak O Lord please teach me
How to listen and be still

Father how I thank you For putting joy in my heart
Thank you for refreshing me
Giving me a brand new start
You have been so gracious
And loving unto me
Thank you Lord for opening My eyes so I could see
Even though my path was rough
You knew what was best
But still you kept me covered
And gave me peace and rest
Forgive me Lord for doubting
Because I didn't feel you there
Thank you that you've got me
Safely in your care
Lord please let me cling
To your great and mighty hand
And everytime I start to slip
Give me your strength to stand

In the stillness of this hour
We come before your throne
We long to feel your presence
And worship you alone
The needs we have are many
But you said you'd meet them all
When we bow our knees before you
And on your name we call
Some of us need peace of mind
For battles that we face
Others need your strength to run
The slow and painful race
Some need your forgiveness
Some need to just be loved
Some need your Holy Spirit
To decend down from above
Thank you Lord for loving us
Even when we fall
And for listening and answering

While trying hard to settle down at the end of a long day
I really needed time to be alone with God and pray
Before I could say a word I saw his hand reach down
Then he gently lifted me high above the ground
He took me to a mountain and sat beside me there
And said I know you feel your burdens are more than you can bear
I brought you here to show you what I'm about to do
For you and all my children who trust me to see them through
Then I looked down and saw a cloud whiter than the snow
And shooting out from all around were flaming tongues aglow
He told me I was seeing his mighty power unfold
On everyone he's purified and is not refined gold
"This is what I promised you if you did not let go
I would keep my word to you and my power you shall know"

On this brand new morning as we come to worship you
We give you all the glory for what you're going to do
Everytime we gather at your table you end up
Making sure we are well fed and overflow our cup
With so many blessings we can't help but share
With those who are seeking for someone who really cares
Lord give us your compassion to go out and find the lost
Then bring them in and feed them no matter what the cost
Help us to not be lazy after we've been fed
Help us find the hungry and share with them your bread
Thank you for this blessed food we are about to eat
Help us to come with clean hearts as we gather at your feet
