In my quiet time with God I praised his holy name
Since he truly set me free my life's not been the same
Something didn't feel quite right
I sensed the Lord was sad
I asked him what was going on
If someone made him mad
As I listened quietly he spoke to me and said
My heart is really aching for my churches that are dead
There's a church on every corner And some of them do well
They preach my truth just as I said
And warn lost souls of hell
But many churches pick and choose
What they want to say
They don't want to take the chance to scare someone away
It's not how big the building is Or the members every week
My churches are the ones who listen when I speak
Many churches are life Ephesus They've forgotten their first love
My heart is very heavy as I watch them from above
I wish I could make them see how it breaks my heart
To see and hear them take my word
And leave out important parts
I really dread that final day it will hurt so bad
That will be the worst day I have ever had
When I have to tell the souls who stand before my throne
To depart from me forever, for them I have not known
My churches need to wake up that day is very close
Seek my face and let me fill you with the Holy Ghost
When I died on Calvary it was for all mankind
Please do everything you can So they won't be left behind
