I join saints and angels and all the heavenly host
In giving you the highest praise unto your holy name
For many years ago you made a choice and came
Down from your throne in heaven to be nailed to a tree
Just so I could understand the love you had for me
You knew before I was born every step I'd take
Through the valleys and the mountains and decisions I would make
Thank you for forgiving me each time I fail to do
The things that you ask of me for I know how it hurts you
Now as I come before you on this brand new day
Help me listen closely to what you have to say
When voices start distracting me give me your ears to hear
The sound of your sweet spirit speaking to me loud and clear
Keep my mind from wandering let my eyes be fixed on you
Let your love shine through me in everything I do
When I start to weaken give me your strength to stand
And guide me gently through this day by your strong and mighty hand
